Inproe offers a dedicated outplacement service, commissioned by client organisations on behalf of departing senior professionals. It is a natural extension of what we have always done — bringing over twenty years of ingredients sector knowledge to the benefit of the people within it.
What the Service Involves
A programme of three structured one-to-one virtual sessions, with ongoing access to Inproe's expertise throughout. Delivered by founder and consulting partner Neil Smith.
Stage One — Profile & Career Audit
We begin with a thorough review and (where necessary) revision of the individual's CV and professional online presence, ensuring both accurately reflect their standing and are positioned for the market as it currently exists.
Alongside this, we conduct a structured career audit — exploring key skills, core strengths, working modalities, the professional experiences and themes that have defined their career to date. This creates a clear, honest foundation from which everything else follows.
Stage Two — Direction & Market Mapping
With a strong foundation in place, we turn our attention to next steps. This session explores motivations, culture, values and the factors that drive performance and satisfaction. Our aim is to define these in a way that makes them identifiable in target organisations, to establishing clear parameters for any search the individual may undertake and to manage expectations.
We combine this with a sector-specific market mapping exercise, identifying relevant target organisations, sectors and geographies that represent realistic and well-matched opportunities. This is where our ingredients industry depth genuinely sets us apart from a generalist outplacement provider.*
Stage Three — Interview Preparation & Coaching
As opportunities develop, we provide focused interview coaching and preparation — working with the individual on how to present their experience compellingly, handle the specific dynamics of senior-level interviews, and approach the process with confidence. This session is timed to be most useful, scheduled as live leads begin to emerge.
Ongoing Access
Beyond the three core sessions, individuals retain access to Inproe as a sounding board. Whether it is a question about a specific employer, a sense check on an offer, or simply a conversation at a key moment in the process, we remain a point of contact for as long as it is useful.

Commissioned by Employers, Delivered for Individuals
This service is designed to be commissioned by the former employer as part of a considered and respectful offboarding process. All work is conducted in strict confidence. We do not report on an individual's plans, progress or intentions to the commissioning organisation beyond confirming that the programme is underway and has been completed.
The individual's interests are at the centre of everything we do.
Introductions — Optional Add-On
Where appropriate, and by separate arrangement and cost*, Inproe can extend the programme to include targeted introductions to relevant organisations within our network. Given our position in the market, these are not speculative — they are informed, well-timed and made on the basis of a clear understanding of both parties.
*Inproe do not undertake introductions as standard when undertaking outplacement services.
